Hi everyone!

We hope you are staying healthy and safe. There is so much information coming at us from many sources right now. We wanted to share this article that talks about COVID-19 and pets. Key takeaway info: dogs and cats CANNOT infect humans with COVID-19 and it is highly unlikely that a person sick with COVID-19 could pass it to a dog or cat. Stay healthy, stay quarantined, and keep loving your pets!

COVID-19 UPDATE

A COVID-19 Update from the AAF!

At the Animal Adoption Foundation, we take the current pandemic seriously. We are taking all necessary measures to keep our staff, volunteers and pets safe during this crisis. Effective at the close of business on Thursday, March 19th, we are closing our doors to the public. Naturally, we still need to provide basic services to our cats and dogs and to that we are communicating these next steps to our staff and volunteers.

For the public, this means:

*There will be no public access to the shelter to visit our animals.

*WAH and Meow Mingle groups have been suspended until further notice.

*All Volunteer Training Levels have been suspended until further notice.

*We will still be doing adoptions, but by appointment only. You can view all of our animals by visiting www.aafpets.org and clicking on the "Adopt a Pet" link. If you are interested in one of our pets, you will have to complete an adoption application which you can find on our website. Once the application has been approved, we will schedule an appointment for you to visit the pet. If you have any questions about this process, please call us at 513-737-PETS.

*Intake: We will not be able to take in any pets that are not already spayed or neutered. If you have an animal that is already spayed or neutered and are unable to make other arrangements for that pet, please call us at 513-737-7387. Intakes will only be conducted on an appointment basis
.
*If you have donations for the AAF, you can still drop them off in our outside donation box. (And we really need your help with donations right now).

*We are always, but especially now, looking for foster homes for some of our animals. If interested, please call 513-737-PETS.

This situation is very fluid and of course we will reevaluate things and make any necessary changes as needed. We thank you for your support of our homeless animals!

Thank you for reading, stay safe and virus free.

The Animal Adoption Foundation is recruiting foster homes for pets in need!  Can you help?  This is a rewarding program that will fill your heart with joy just by knowing that you have helped a homeless pet.  If you are interested and want to help, please click on the "Foster A Pet" link above and complete the foster application.
