About the Animal Adoption Foundation (AAF)
The Animal Adoption Foundation is a non-profit no-kill shelter for dogs and cats that have been abused or abandoned. AAF provides a safe and humane environment for dogs and cats that are waiting to be adopted. Our caring volunteers and generous, loving donors enable us to provide a safe and happy haven for our special friends. The shelter currently houses approximately 85 cats and dogs.
The Animal Adoption Foundation is a no-kill, charitable organization which aspires to eliminate homeless pets and strives toward our vision through the operation of A RESCUE.
We define A RESCUE as:
Adoption: We facilitate finding suitable homes and environments that enrich the lives of pets and their families.
Rescue/Rehab: We rescue pets that are abused, neglected, abandoned, or are facing euthanasia at kill shelters. We rehabilitate these pets by providing them with complete veterinary care and addressing behavioral issues prior to their adoption.
Environment: We provide a clean, safe and nurturing environment with enough room and comfort for each pet.
Spay/Neuter: We strive for 100% spay/neuter for our pets. We facilitate affordable spay/neuter alternatives for the community.
Community: We are an active force in the local and rescue communities, dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals.
Unified Fundraising: We raise funds through donations, adoption fees, grants, and fundraising events that bring our volunteers and staff closer to the community and each other.
Education and Awareness: We educate to ensure the awareness of our organization's issues, needs, and opportunities, as well as the importance of responsible pet ownership.
The Animal Adoption Foundation envisions a community where all animals are treated humanely, all pets live in responsible, caring homes and euthanasia is no longer a means of pet population control.
